Smart Shoe

An Indian start-up develops smart shoes that will help the visually impaired
 
Ducere Technologies Pvt Ltd, 222B, San Marina House,, Gandhi Nagar, West Marredpally, Secunderabad, Telangana 500026, has developed very innovative product called 'LECHAL'.

Ducere Tech, an Indian startup that designs wearable technology, has developed interactive, vibrating footwear that helps users find directions.  Google map , smartphone, bluetooth and small module that goes in back of each shoe, near the heal will guide the user to destination.

The right or left module will vibrate every time the users have to take a turn, pointing them in the right direction. 

This smart shoe will be very useful for visually impaired persons. The shoe will also measure number of steps taken and calories burned.

The product will be available from March 2015, and will cost US$ 150/- approx.
