Vascular Disease & Two-Arm Blood Pressure Difference

Most of us have electronic blood pressure instrument at home and we do measure our B.P. as and when we feel to confirm that there is no problem.  As per current studies difference between two arm blood pressure readings indicate narrowing and hardening of arteries.
The first study, which was published in The Lancet, suggested that a difference of more than 10mmHg or 15mmHg in systolic blood pressure (the 'top' reading) was an indicator of increased risk of vascular disease and mortality.
The second study, which was published on the 20th March 2012 by the British Medical Journal (BMJ Online) looks at data from patients over a 10-year period. The findings of the study support that of the first -- that there is a link between a difference in blood pressure between arms and vascular disease and mortality -- and further emphasize the need for two-arm blood pressure checks to become the norm.

Why Am I Happy??

Things happen in life. Life is essentially chain of incidences. We do not take notice of most of these and take them for granted. We carry on with our lives as if it does not matter whatever way these incidences take place. Though, such is far from being true.
I remember an inconspicuous day in my life. The day started like a normal day and went on like any other day and ended that way. That night, while lying in the bed, I realized that though it was just like any other day, throughout the day I was feeling happy, energetic and alive. I started analyzing the sequence of events of that day.  Nothing special had occurred on that day and still I felt very happy.  When I was about to give up my efforts to find out the reason behind my being so happy, it suddenly struck me. There is this flowering plant in my garden. It is there for so many years. It has never grown beyond certain height and had never flowered. But today morning on my way out, I saw that there was this lovely flower on that tree. I knew why I was happy.

Our life is like that. We have happiness all around us. We have to recognize, we have to spot the things that make us happy.  Happiness which we get from small things is always unadulterated and never at the cost of somebody's loss.
Happiness out of victory is based on the fact that somebody else is defeated. Buying big new car or new house makes you happy, but this happiness is likely to have one side which is meant to show the world, "I am better than you". Wining tennis match or any race is likely to become more pleasant when you know you are better than so many others. We all run, toil and struggle to achieve things, have various possessions thinking that we will be happy when we will get what we so desperately desire.  This does not give pure happiness. This happiness comes at price and is invariably transient.
Happiness in small little things comes without payment. All that you need to do is open your eyes and mind to notice these things.

100% sure way of making big money on share market

Trading in share market can be very tricky and more often than not, one is doomed to lose money.
But
There is 100% guaranteed method to make big money on share market
If
You have unlimited money to begin with.
Imagine following situation
(1)You have bought particular share worth 100X, and the share falls down by 10% to 90X
(2) At 90Xyou buy 2 more shares, so now you have 3 shares of value 90 for investment of 280 and the same share loses further 10% of its value. At this point you buy 4 more shares. Now your investment is (81 X 4) +280 = 604.  This means you have 7 shares each of value 81 = 567X for investment of 604X.
(3) There is further drop of 10% and you buy 8 shares @72.9. Your investment is (72.9 X 8) + 604=1187.2 and value of your shares is 72.9 X 15 = 1093.5
(4) At next drop of 10% you buy 16 shares @ 65.61. Your investment is (65.61 X 16) + 1093.5=2143.26 and face value of your shares is 2033.91
(5) Then 32 shares @ 59.05 . Meaning (59.05 X 32) + 2033.91=3923.51invetment for 3720.15 share value
(6) Next is 64 share @53.15. Meaning (53.15 X 64) + 3923.51=7325.11 investment for 6750.05 value.
By any natural law, the share which falls like this , on one fine day bounces back by at least 15 to 20 % from lowest point.
In above mentioned situation, imagine share rising by 20 % from 53.15. In such case you will have 131 shares @ 63.78 making aggregate value of 8355.18 on investment of 6750.05. Investment is of 6750.05X100= 675000 and return of 8355.18 X 100= 835500
This is not joke. This is very practical way of doing it. Deal in prime shares. Start with small quantity, so that you can be in profit even after ‘7’ doubling.
Instead of 10% fall keep smaller levels like 3 or 4 % fall. Never book loss and never exit till you get percentage profit you have planned, always exit when target is achieved and you will definitely make money.
This is the only way of making money in share market.  If you think, studying graphs, trends, listening to Pundits on TV etc. can help you in making money in share market, then you are in for getting rude shock.
For your satisfaction, study 1 year graph for any of the ‘Top 50’company which is losing its share value. You will always see, at certain point of time the share value of that company jumps by 20% or more, for short period.
I am writing this backed with experience, though I start with very small amount and stop doubling after a certain stage and then wait till I am in profit.

Heart Attack: When Victim Is ALONE

Each Mississippi is very vital when one gets HEART ATTACK.
 The signs of Heart Attack:
·       Intermittent Chest pain which can be moderate to severe and some discomfort
·       feeling of uncomfortable pressure, fullness
·       Upper body discomfort in one or both arms, back, neck, and jaw
·       shortness of breath
·       nausea, vomiting
·       dizziness
·       cold sweat

Without help, one has only about 10-30 seconds before losing consciousness.

What does victim do if he/she is alone?

These victims can help themselves by :

1.  Coughing repeatedly and very vigorously: Coughing must be as deep from inside chest as possible similar to when producing sputum.
2.  Taking very deep breath before each cough.
3.  This must be repeated till help arrives, without break until help arrives, or the heart is felt to be beating normal.

Deep breath gives badly needed oxygen to body and heavy coughing movements squeeze heart and keeps blood circulating. The squeezing also helps heart in regaining normal rhythm.

This is like doing ‘Self CPR’.

This article is written under the guidance and instructions from Dr. R.S.Patel, a retired WHO medical officer for Africa, in charge of Preventive Medicine.

Few Things One Must Know About Share Market:
1.   It is a legal gambling system. It is legal Casino. In every casino, the only winner is Casino Owner.
Here, the Casino owners are those:-
·         Holding Cards and the broking agencies.
·         Politicians who have relatives holding Cards.
·         Politicians and government bosses who can take financial decisions.
·         Owners and major share holders of the companies.
·         CAs and finance companies who are paid to rig the share prices
·         TV, News paper experts and analysts, who claim to know everything. (I always wonder that these persons must be very kind hearted. They are sharing their knowledge for the gains of general population, when they could have simply traded the shares sitting in luxury hotels and made loads of money for themselves)
2.       The analysis, graphs and projections will hold good only in markets which are honest and not manipulated.
3.       In real terms or in actual value terms, the market will never go up in a decline economy.  You will never earn net profit in share market if you consider depletion in buying capacity of currency and the bank interest that you would have earned if you were to keep your money in fixed deposits.
4.       The cost of efforts, time and effect on heart and health will always negate the small profit which you may gain in an unlikely event.

All the same, many of us will have free ride and huge saving on income tax.

Old Man From Zambia : Godsend

On our way back from Blantyre; Malawi, I and my wife Suneeta got unnecessarily delayed in Lilongwe. When we started off from Blantyre in the morning the plan was to reach Chipata, Zambia by 18.00 hrs. The total drive was around 550 Kms and we were sure that we can reach Chipata as planned. But then, Madam did not like the food at the restaurant where we halted for late lunch. We scouted around and found a Restaurant called Gazebo, which offered us lovely Indian food. We thought it was worth wasting two hours looking for good restaurant.
We reached Malawi border at around 18.00 hrs, quick customs, stamping of passports and we proceeded to Zambia border post at Michinji. Suddenly, weather drastically changed and torrential rain started pouring down. We were not much worried as Chipata town is only 40 Kms from Michinji, and such sudden weather changes were quite common. We were further delayed by nearly 1 hour due to rains and congestion by trucks at customs. It was really dark and was raining very heavy. Those who have travelled in Africa can understand that in Africa, being 40 kms away from town is like being in middle of thick wilderness. The visibility was nearly zero due to heavy rains. I could not see the road ahead. I drove looking at white lane-dividing line in the center of road and my wife was looking at the grass line at the edge of road. We were barely driving at 25 Kms per hour. Suddenly my wife saw an old African man standing by road side asking for lift.

As natural reaction, she shouted, “Stop!”  I jammed the breaks thinking I must have gone far too much to the edge of the road.  Then she told me about the old African man. We were in dilemma. It was far too risky to offer lift to anybody or even to stop the car in middle of nowhere. But then, we could not leave this old man alone. We backed up about 20-25 meters and asked the man what could be the problem.
The man said, “Bana, my car broke down about 2 Kms back. My wife is admitted in Cipata General Hospital. I thought of walking down but at my age, it is very difficult to walk this distance especially when it is raining so heavy”.  We did remember seeing a car parked by road side few kilometers before. We offered the old man lift. Took him to the hospital and drove to overnight halt, feeling very nice about what we did.
Three years passed and once again we were driving from Lukasa , capital of Zambia to Chipata, en route to Malawi.  We were three of us in the car, I, Suneeta and my 1 year old son. 300 Kms from Lusaka and nearly at same distance from Chipata, there is a place called Kacholola. We had our lunch at Kacholola and we proceeded towards Chipata. All of a sudden, something happened and car stopped firing. I tried my mechanical skills with on effect. Suneeta was sitting down on the rock by roadside, hoping I shall manage to get the car moving.

Hardly 10 minutes had passed and a shinning Land-Rover, stopped by with loud screeching. One elderly person from the Land-Rover, Zambian man, got down and asked me what could be the problem. Then he asked, “ Bana, don’t you recognize me? I am the man whom you gave lift in the night when it was raining heavily. I stopped because I recognized your wife sitting by the road side”.
He told his driver to do the needful. The driver took out a big knife from the vehicle and went into the bush. He came back in few moments with bunch of vines in his hands. He made good strong rope, tied my car behind his Land-rover and towed my car for next 270 kms, safe and sound.
What were the odds???

That is Life : LOVE

An old lady was lying in comatose condition on hospital bed. The hospital was well-equipped and the lady was well looked after.

Every evening her husband who was equally old used to visit her.
He would sit beside her, hold her hand and would tell her all stories of their good days. This went on for days.

One day, a hospital staff said to the old man, “Sir, why do you sit near this lady, hold her hand and tell her stories? She is in coma and does not even know that you are there”

The old man replied, “Son, But I Know She Is There”.
